Hello there!

I am finally able to peek my head out a bit and write an update on the incredible adventure that is my life.

For those unaware, I left WWU this summer to head out to the Midwest to start a new life in Columbus OH. Well…life in Columbus just didn’t pan out & within a fairly short amount of time; I headed back to the green wonderland that is Washington. After several months/interviews/rejections, I was finally hired at the University of Washington in the Foster School of Business-Undergraduate Programs Office. I hold the illustrious title of Program Coordinator! What that really means is that I am the Class Scheduling/Scholarship Coordinating/Budget Overseeing guru. I have just finished my first round in the scheduling process and let me tell you….this job is great! I am really looking forward to delving into the Scholarship part of my job, as I get to work directly with students and the financial aid office to get them some funding for school.

UW is treating me very well. I have been welcomed into the UPO with open arms and everyone is unbelievably friendly here.

This picture was taken during a student event at the end of my first week…and in the one below, you can see that I fit right in with all the fun times!!

I have not explored the UW campus too thoroughly as you can’t really get too far in an hour lunch break here! This campus is enormous!!!

You may wonder that if I am working in Seattle…have I moved there yet? And the answer is no. As of now I am still living in Mount Vernon in my house that my housemate is graciously allowing me to stay in. However, I have found 3 other really great people and we are currently waiting on pins & needles as to whether we got a house! It is really the most amazing house ever and I hope with all my fingers crossed that we can move in by Nov 10th.

In the meantime, I am commuting from Mount Vernon to Seattle every day. The good part about that is that I only drive a half hour to Marysville and then hop on a bus that takes me directly to campus and practically drops me off right in front of my building!

EDIT: I AM living in Seattle...we got the house and it is amazing!!! Pictures can be found here

Some other amazing things that I have done in the last few months….

Drove home from Ohio. A drive that brought my driving miles to somewhere around 6900!

Went to Portland to see an amazing musician, Miss Brandi Carlile….and ran into 35 of my closest friends! Hung out with some friends in White Rock BC and ran into a sea monster. And went to Ocean Shores for the annual Family reunion camping trip!

So…the fun still keeps coming for me. Things have been both very very up and very very down over the last 4 months, but things are looking up up up from here!

Feel free to shoot me an email or give me a call...I would love to hear how everyone is doing!!!
